Facial Oil Blend
 
This is a highly nourishing and regenerating oil blend, containing all the essential fatty acids for your skin. Useful for scars, skin repair, and aging skin. Aids eleasticity. Keeps skin in excellent health. Can be used under or blended into your moisturiser, or as an alternative to moisturiser at night.

Ingredients:
 
5 ml Rose hip seed oil
5 ml Camellia oil
5 ml Primrose oil
10 drops Helichrysum oil
10 drops Carrot Seed oil

How to prepare:
 
Blend all oils together. Shake before use. Store in a cool dark location in a dark glass container, preferably refrigerated. Shelf life up to 6 months.

How to use:
 
Massage a small amount into cleansed, moist skin.

Almond Cleansing Cream
 
This is a homemade version of the popular Dr. Hauschka Almond cleanser. It has a gentle exfoliating action and can be massaged daily into your skin for a deep, thorough cleansing. Great for unclogging blocked pores, and a great opportunity to give your skin some massage, which does wonders for your skin.

Ingredients:
 
100 g fresh, whole almonds
2 tea spoons Sweet Almond oil
1 tea spoon Witch Hazel extract
10 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil
One tea spoon Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) crystals

How to prepare:
 
Finely grind the almonds in a nut/coffee grinder or food processor. Put the almond meal in an airtight container and gradually mix in the oil and Witch Hazel extract while stirring until your mixture reaches the desired consistency. It should be a nice, thick paste. You might need to adjust the concistency by adding more oil or almond meal.

Store in an airtight container. Can be refrigerated.

How to use:
 
Add water to make the paste spredable and massage a small amount into cleansed, moist skin.

Herbal Toner
 
This toner made from active botanical extracts is very healing and regenerating for your skin. It is also an effective astringent, containing Witch Hazel instead of alcohol

Ingredients:
 
30 ml Aloe vera gel
20 ml Witch Hazel
50ml Rosewater (or other floral water)
25ml Calendula extract
1/2 ml Vegetable Glycerin

(You may also add up to 10 drops essential oil of your choice)

How to prepare:
 
Blend the ingredients and pour into a clean bottle. Shake before use. Store in a cool dark place. Can be refrigerated for a few months.

How to use:
 
Put in a spray bottle and spray your skin after cleansing and before moisturising.
 
Rose Toner for All Skin Types
 
This is an all-purpose toner valuable for all types of skin. It is both highly regenerating and antiseptic. Both normal, aging, and acne skin types can benefit from this very exclusive toner.

Ingredients:
 
20 ml Witch Hazel
50ml Rosewater
25ml Rose petal extract
10 drops Rose essential oil
1/2 ml Vegetable Glycerin

How to prepare:
 
To make Rose extract, infuse Rose petals in boiled water. Allow to steep for 15 minutes, strain, and cool.

Blend the ingredients and pour into a clean bottle. Shake before use. Store in a cool dark place. Can be refrigerated for a few months.

How to use:
 
Put in a spray bottle and spray your skin after cleansing and before moisturising.
 
Lavender Toner for Sensitive Skins
 
A soothing, calming toner for sensitive and easily irritated skin

Ingredients:
 
20 ml Witch Hazel
50ml Lavender water
25ml Lavender extract
10 drops Rose essential oil
1/2 ml Vegetable Glycerine

How to prepare:
 
Blend the ingredients and pour into a clean bottle. Shake before use. Store in a cool dark place. Can be refrigerated for a few months.

How to use:
 
Put in a spray bottle and spray your skin after cleansing and before moisturising.
 
Sugar and Honey Scrub
 
This is a lovely scrub to use. The sugar grains works in a mechanical way to slough dead skin cells off your skin, and the sugar acids in the honey helps with further exfoliation. Wearing this scrub also let’s you allow all the skin benefits of honey.

Ingredients:
 
1 tea spoon honey
1 tea spoon unrefined sugar

How to prepare:
 
Combine the ingredients in a bowl.

How to use:
 
Massage the scrub gently onto clean skin. Leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.

Honey Almond Scrub

This is a nourishing scrub with a wonderful smell and texture. Ground almonds are gently abrasive, and the honey and lemon juice has an acidic peeling on your skin. Can be used every day.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 table spoon finely ground almonds
Juice of 1/4 lemon

How to prepare:

Ground up the almonds in a food processor or nut/coffee grinder (you can also use slivered almonds) and mix all ingredients thoroughly.

How to use:

Massage your face gently and rinse off with warm water. Any remaining portion can be kept for up to a week in the refrigerator. Can also be frozen.

Oatmeal and Honey Scrub

This is a rich, grainy scrub that can also be left on your face as a nourishing mask.

Ingredients:

Combine 1/4 cup of uncooked oatmeal, 2 teaspoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of warm water.

How to prepare:

Combine the ingredients in a bow and stir well. Let it soak for a while to soften. You may have to sift the hulls from the oatmeal to remove any hard pieces.

How to use:

Massage the scrub into clean skin for a minute or so. You can leave on your face for 5-15 minutes. Wipe of and rinse with warm water.

Nourishing Face Mask

This mask is extremely nourishing and contains a very wide spectre of fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals that are essential for the health and function of your skin. Can be used to revive undernourished skin.

Ingredients:

One egg yolk (with some egg white)
1 tea spoon bee pollen (granules or powder)
1/2 tea spoon plant-based omega oil blend

How to prepare:

Blend the ingredients and leave for a while to dissolve then stir.

How to use:

Apply to newly cleansed and exfoliated face in a thick layer. If it dries too soon, you can moisten it wiht some water, or keep a moist piece of cloth on your face while it works.

Leave on: 5-30 minutes

Chocolate Face Mask

This chocolate mask makes a fun, luxurious treat for your skin. Chocolate is nourishing, moisturising, and full of antioxidants, and this mask will leave your skin soft and glowing.

Ingredients:

1/2 bar of dark chocolate
1 pinch of salt
1/4 of a cup milk

How to prepare:

Break up the chocolate and heat it in a double boiler. Mix salt and milk in a bowl. Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and mix with the salt and milk mixture. Allow to cool until lukewarm before use.

How to use:

Before the chocolate becomes hard, apply the mixture to your face and leave it on until it hardens. Remove with warm water.

Leave on: About 15 minutes
